Help/Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I uploaded my work, but can’t download because my documents are pending, why?

A: We take 2-3 days to read through and validate uploads. We need to insure they are not spam, repeat uploads, inappropriate, or copyrighted. If you need instant access you can subscribe for the paid service here[link].

Q: Why don’t you have my school?

A: At the current moment we are rolling out to schools across the U.S. We began at San Jose State University (our home) and will be launching to many more schools soon. Keep checking back with us to see if your school has been added or join our Twitter [link] community.

Q: Is this legal?

A: Yes, sharing your information with others is totally legal, as long as it is yours. Make sure to get permission from the creator of the document you are uploading if you are posting something that is not yours.

Q: What is the best way to get people to notice my uploads?

A: We recommend you add a detailed description of the documents in step 2 of the uploading process. Another way to ensure people download your material is to upload really good work, check out our blog [link] for tips on taking notes and creating study guides. Also, make sure to tell your friends or group members to go onto the site and download your study guides and essays.

Q: How long does it take to get paid out?

A: If you choose the PayPal rewards you will see them in your account on the next bill cycle. As for the gift cards and other prizes they take 2-3 weeks to be delivered.

Q: Why did my upload get rejected?

A: We will reject submissions if we believe them to be inappropriate, repeat submissions, copyright infringing, or for any other reason we feel deem the document unacceptable. If you feel your document was incorrectly discredited please send us an email at support@CollegeNoteShare.com

Q: Are professors ok with this?

A: Yes, we have talked to professors and they accept the fact that this is the future of education. With websites like Wikipedia and search engines like Google, information is accessible from anywhere within seconds. It is the natural progression of college to take data sharing amongst students, something that already occurs, and making this available online to everyone.
